You will need:
For the base:
100g Rice Krispie
100g Marshmellows
25g Butter
For the Caramel middle:
50g Butter
50g Caster Sugar
400g Condensed Milk
For the topping:
200g Milk Chocolate
Method:
For the base, in a saucepan over a low heat, melt your butter.
Then mix add your marshmallows and mix until melted and combined.
Add the Rice Krispies and mix until well combined.
Then to a lined 7 inch square tin (18cm), add the mixture. Grease the back of a metal spoon and press the rice krispies into the tin.
For the caramel; in a saucepan over a low heat, add 50g butter, 50g caster Sugar, and 400g condensed milk and mix until combined. Continue to stir the mixture over the low heat or you will burn the caramel.
Once the caramel is thick and starts to come away from the sides of the saucepan remove from the heat and pour over the base. Then allow to cool.
Then for the chocolate topping; melt the milk chocolate in a microwave for 20 secs at a time until melted. Once melted, pour over the caramel and spread evenly. Then pop in the fridge to allow the chocolate to set. Then cut into the size pieces you want.
