How to make Plum Crumble Cake

You will need:

For the Cake:

115g butter/Margarine

115g Self raising flour

115g caster sugar

2 Eggs

1tbsp Milk


For the filling:

500g Plums


For crumble top:

150g Plain flour

100g butter

100g caster sugar


Method:

1. Firstly to make the cake; cream together the sugar and butter until full combined. Then mix in the eggs and milk.

2. Then add the self raising flour and mix well.

3. Having pre-lined a baking tin (I used a 23cm by 18cm tin) with butter and baking paper. Spoon your cake mixture in.

4. Then for the filling; de-stone and slice the plums. Then arrange the slices on top of the cake.

5. In a different bowl for the crumble top; mix together the plain flour and caster sugar until combined. Then add your butter in cubed and rub in until it resembles breadcrumbs. Then spoon on top of your cake.

6. Then in a pre-heated oven at Gas Mark 5, 190C or 170 Fan assisted; bake for 35 to 40 mins.
