How to make Hot Chocolate Stirrers

You will need:

100g Milk Chocolate

1.5 tbsp Cocoa Powder

1.5 tbsp Icing Sugar

Optional extras: Sprinkles, Marshmallows etc.

Equipment: An ice cube tray or silicone tray, pastry brush, vegetable oil, stirrers or spoons

Method:

1. Firstly brush your ice cube tray (or silicone tray) with the vegetable oil

2. Then melt your chocolate, pop in the microwave for 20 second bursts, until the chocolate is just melted

3. Then add your icing sugar and cocoa powder and mix well.

4. Then spoon into the pre greased mould. Once filled, I tap the mould against the worktop to not only level out the tops but also to make sure any air bubbles are released.

5. Then if using, put any additional extras on top. Then put your stirrers or spoons in the middle and leave to set.

6. Then simply take out of the tray, if you have troubles taking them out put the tray in a small amount of hot water (don't allow the hot water to touch the chocolate though) which should help release them.

7. To use, warm milk up and simply stir the chocolate stirrers in the milk until the chocolate has melted.
