How to make Iced Fairy cakes

You will need:

For the Cupcakes:

115g Self Raising Flour

115g Caster Sugar

115g Margarine

2 Eggs

1tsp Vanilla Extract

2tbsp Milk


For the Buttercream:

150g Icing Sugar

2-3 tbsp Milk

Sprinkles


Method:

  1. Firstly in a bowl, cream together your margarine and sugar.

  2. Then add your eggs, vanilla extract and milk and mix well.

  3. Then add the flour and mix until well combined.

  4. Then divide your mixture between 12 fairy cake cases, and bake in a pre-heated oven at Gas Mark 5, 190C or 170C fan assisted for 12-15 mins.

  5. To make the icing, to the icing sugar add the milk a little at a time until you have a thick paste that coats the back of the spoon.

  6. Spread on top of each of the cakes, it is easier to do if the cakes are still warm. Then while the icing is still wet add the sprinkles.
