How to make Chocolate Truffles

You will need:

Truffles:

100g Chocolate

75ml Double Cream

15g Butter

(Optional) Flavourings (depending on what your prefer): Choose one:

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 tsp Orange Extract

1 tsp Peppermint Extract

Toppings: Choose one:

Cocoa Powder

Sprinkles

Method:

  1. Firstly, chop the chocolate into small pieces and pop in a heatproof bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl or jug, heat the cream, flavouring and butter together in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time until melted and combined.

  3. Pour the cream and butter mixture over the chopped chocolate and mix until well combined and smooth.

  4. Pop in the fridge and cool for 3 to 4 hours.

  5. Then shape truffles, either by using spoons or using your hands. If using your hands use some flavourless oil, like vegetable oil, to stop the mixture sticking.

  6. Then roll in which ever topping you'd like.

  7. They will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days or can be frozen for a month.
