How to make Bread and Butter Pudding

You will need:

8-10 Slices of Bread

75g Currants or Sultanas

400ml Milk

25g Caster Sugar

50g Butter

2 tbsp Cinnamon

2 Eggs


Method:

  1. Firstly, you need a grease a baking dish with a little bit of your butter. I've used a baking dish that's 23cm by 17cm.

  2. Then cut the crusts of your bread slices and butter one side.

  3. Then put a layer of bread at the bottom of your dish, I cut my bread slices smaller so they fit better.

  4. Then sprinkle a layer of currants and then cinnamon on top.

  5. Then repeat the layers until all the bread is used up.

  6. In a separate bowl mix together your milk and sugar. Then add your eggs and mix well.

  7. The pour the milk mixture on top of your bread layers.

  8. The in a preheated oven at Gas 4, 180C, 160 Fan assisted bake for 30 to 40 mins
