How to make Blackcurrant Cordial

You will need:

500g Blackcurrants

250g Caster Sugar

300ml Water

5 tbsp Lemon Juice


Method:

  1. Firstly in a saucepan, over a low heat, add your water, lemon juice and mix until well combined

  2. Then add the blackcurrants, and simmer over a medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes until the blackcurrants have released all the juices.

  3. Strain through a sieve to remove the pulp.

  4. While the juice is still warm, carefully pour into bottles and close. This will help preserve the juice for longer.
