You will need:
For the filling:
750g Mixed Fruits (I used 150g Strawberries, 200g Redcurrants, 200g Blackcurrants and 200g Blueberries)
50g Caster Sugar
1tbsp Plain Flour
For the Crumble:
100g Plain Flour
50g Oats
100g Caster sugar
100g Butter
Method:
1. Firstly to make the filling; mix together the mixed fruits, sugar and flour until the fruits are well coated.
2. Then spoon this into an ovenproof dish (mine was a 26cm by 18cm oval dish), making sure to press down on the fruits. This will help by keeping the crumble on top of the fruits during cooking so will allow for a crispier top.
3. In a different bowl; mix together the plain flour, oats and caster sugar until combined. Then add your butter in cubed and rub in until it resembles breadcrumbs. Then spoon on top of your fruit mix.
6. Then in a pre-heated oven at Gas Mark 5, 190C or 170 Fan assisted; bake them for 45 to 55 mins.
