You will need:
For the base:
100g Cornflakes
100g Milk chocolate
50g Butter
3tbsp Golden Syrup
For the Caramel middle:
50g Butter
50g Caster Sugar
400g Condensed Milk
For the topping:
200g Milk Chocolate
75g Mini Eggs
Method:
To prepare the base, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
Add the golden syrup and chocolate, stirring until everything is melted and well combined.
Incorporate the cornflakes and mix thoroughly.
Transfer the mixture to a lined 7-inch (18cm) square tin. Grease the back of a metal spoon and press the rice krispies firmly into the tin.
For the caramel, place 50g of butter, 50g of caster sugar, and 400g of condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until combined. Keep stirring to prevent the caramel from burning.
When the caramel thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the saucepan, remove it from the heat and pour it over the base. Allow it to cool.
For the chocolate topping, melt the milk chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals until melted. Pour it over the caramel and spread it evenly.
Top with mini eggs.
Place in the fridge to let the chocolate set, then cut into desired pieces.
