How to make Blackcurrant Oat Cookies
You will need:
100g Oats
100g Self Raising Flour
100g Butter
100g Caster Sugar
100g Blackcurrants
1 tbsp Golden Syrup
Method:
First, mix the oats, self-raising flour, blackcurrants and sugar in a bowl until well combined.
Next, place the butter in a microwavable bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals until melted. Then, add the golden syrup and stir until fully blended.
Then, incorporate the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Shape the dough into balls, place them on a pre-lined baking tray, and gently press the top of each cookie to flatten slightly.
Finally, bake in a preheated oven at Gas Mark 4, 180°C, or 160°C fan-assisted for 15 to 18 minutes until they turn golden brown.
